Exciting Update!

I am SUPER excited and grateful to let everyone know that my nephew is out of the hospital. He was there for 8 days (in the ICU for 7 days) and had been told that he would still have to stay there for another week. Ugh! Luckily he got to go home yesterday even though he has to lay low and stay away from school for at least another week. These pictures make my heart break....poor guy! He is such a sweet kid and I just cant believe how sick he got. I didn't keep updating my blog about him last week....lets just say that it was pretty scary. He was on 4 heart medicines just to keep his blood pressure up (it was as low as 33 one time), had a constant drip of antibiotic to kill the toxins in his blood, and had to receive a couple batches of frozen plasma to help rejuvenate his blood supply. He was finally diagnosed with having a flu (a small case of pneumonia set in for a few days too) and Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS is kind of a funky diagnosis but possible in boys too. I guess it is about as rare as getting hit by a lightening bolt). Glad your better buddy!Here are his two little brothers visiting him in the hospital after a week of not seeing him.
