Tribute of Light 9/11/2008

9/11 rolls around all too quickly each year......time sure passes by quickly. The memories of this historic date do not fade though....I can remember 9/11/2001 perfectly! It was such an honor for me to be serving as a missionary for my church and to be living in Brooklyn, NYC when the towers fell. It was an experience that changed me permanently and I am so thankful that I was able to be in such an amazing city at such a difficult time. I am glad that I live here in NYC again and that I am able to be reminded of 9/11 and the love, service, and unity that saturated the city after such a devastating event. I decided to drive over to the East River the other night to see that Tribute of Light (beams) that they shoot up into the sky every 9/11. It was beautiful and I am thankful for the tears that rolled down my cheeks as I remembered the things that I witnessed that day......"We will never forget!"
