The Holidays

There weren't many girls in my primary class at church when I was little.....lots of boys though! So, now that I am "all grown up".....I am able to keep in touch with those "boys" and their wives. I was looking at one of their family blogs the other day and was really impressed by what the wife had written about why she thought the holiday season is so wonderful.

1. Recognize and be grateful for the blessings in your life (Thanksgiving).
2. Turn your heart towards Christ, and impart of your substance to others (Christmas).
3. Resolve to be a better person (New Year).

I thought that was pretty cool! It is such a simple thing that make so much sense...I guess I have never taken the time to slow down and think about how the holidays fit together like a puzzle though...pretty neat!
