Yes, it is true! You too can pay $0.25 for a 15 minute restroom break.....ha! I have heard of these kinds of "booths" being set up before but I have never seen one in my own "part of the woods." I was out shopping the other day and randomly happened upon this pay-toilet. It looks like an elevator to me....but it really is a bathroom. I was tempted to drop a quarter in the slot just to see what it looked like on the inside....don't ask me why.....I was just curious. Doesn't 15 minutes seem like a long time for a quarter though? Man, I would hate to have to wait for 15 minutes while someone was in there. In fact, my mind went to the gutter a little bit and I thought about how some of the teenagers in the neighborhood might drop a quarter in the slot for another "leisure activity" with their girlfriends/boyfriends. Regardless, if anyone ever needs a bathroom....you can find this one on 103 Street and Roosevelt in Queens.....Nice!

That's just demented. However, I think it looks a little more sanitary than a hunny hut. LOL
