Field Trip....

Guess where I went today. Yup, the Metropolitan Museum of Art! My kids had an amazing time and were just as excited to see the city as they were to see the art. Some of them are so new to the U.S. (most of my kids are from Korea, China, and Bangladesh) that they had never been to Manhattan. Here we are waiting to go in for our tour. I am at the very end on the right. Our tour guide was great! She really adapted her presentation so that my kids were able to understand the art better. We did good with all of the statues once we got our giggles out about the statues "private parts" being exposed. I never knew how silly these "big" 5th graders can be. Ha!Having lunch outside as we wait for our bus and enjoy the pigeons and chilly air.A quick group picture (minus about 6 of my kids) before we headed back to school. We managed to not break anything. We did set off a couple display alarms because we were standing to close to the exhibits and we did get in trouble for touching one painting (gasp!) but it all worked out just fine. Exhale! Where will we go next? I need to get on that.....

Lucky you! I love the Met! I have been there a couple of times and could spend hours there.

That looks like tons of fun and a lot of stress to keep track of all the kids! I'm missing my Sandi- when are you going to visit us in Utah??
