Busy day....

I spent a fun day with one of my students and her mom on Saturday. She was one of my third graders that I taught last year and her mom and I have become really good friends. Anyway...she had saved her money and wanted to treat me out to a movie and lunch.She chose Dim Sum at East Bay in Flushing. It was delicious as usual!It was pretty cute to watch how excited she was to pay the bill. I felt kind of bad letting her pay....but she had been saving up to take her mom and I out so we let her. She got out her bright pink wallet and counted up the tip all by herself. Pretty cute!Then we went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks followed by a trip to Toys R Us. I found this mini Barbie from my birth year. I think I will stop by FAO Schwarz next time I am by Central Park so I can check out all of the clothes from 1977. Interesting!
