The Folks in NYC- Day 3

We walked around Flushing (at 6:30 am) and got some hot chocolate at McDonald's. It was freezing and so we headed back to the hotel to get cleaned up. Then we were off to a traditional Chinese breakfast...Dim Sum. It was great! Here is mom testing out her chopstick skills....We tried a ton of different things. It was super yummy and my parents enjoyed the cultural experience. It is definitely something to try if you have never done it.The markets were buzzing and so my dad and I walked through a store to check out their produce and seafood. It was interesting! Then we were off to the city. I drove us in and parked us right in the middle of Times Square. We roamed 42nd Street and had to check out the Yankee Team Shop and Modell's. We picked up a bunch of Matsui shirts and were on our way.We stopped by the TKTS booth and I saw that they had tickets for In The Heights. I bought us some tickets and we were off to see an amazing show. We all LOVED it!After the show.....we walked around Times Square and then strolled up to Bryant Park. Some random people were giving away "free hugs." My mom hugged that girl and my dad and Jose decided to join in on the fun too. Ha!We sat and watched the skaters do circle after circle around the ice skating rink at Bryant Park. They had all of the Christmas Boutique tents set up too....it was fun to walk around and see the funky things that they were selling. After that we made our way back to the car so that we could get back to Queens for dinner. I saw CRUMBS on 42nd Street and so I stopped to pick up some yummy cupcakes for us to try laster that night.
We chomped some pizza in Bayside and then headed back to the hotel for our "cupcake party."
Mom was really getting into it....yum!
