What a fun day! I wast invited to attend a "Roller Blade Birthday Party" for one of my students. We all drove out to a roller rink in Long Island and skated the afternoon away. It was fun to skate, enjoy good company, and chat. 
The roller skating rink was kind of fun. It brought back MANY memories of going to skate parties with my school as a child. Most schools in NY have "family nights" at the school.....we used to have our "family nights" at the skating rink. Good memories!
I thought that the walls were painted really neat in the rink. The entire thing was covered with images of famous places in the city that were painted in electric colors. 
Here is the "birthday boy" skating with his friends. I wanted to get a better picture but they all zipped away before I could snap one.....
