Thanksgiving with friends.....

I had a very nice...different....Thanksgiving this year! Of course, I planned to attend the Macy's Parade like I do every year. I had a cold again this year and just didn't feel like rolling out of bed at 4:30 in order to have a front row position. I opted to watch it on T.V. and then make a nice turkey lunch. I then headed out to my friends home for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.I just realized that I don't have ONE picture of my friend and I. Oh well! I got to meet her family and other invited guests. We had a great meal of Turducken (a chicken stuffed in a duck that is then stuffed into a turkey) and it was an experience. The night was followed up with lots of other yummy food, conversation, football watching, walking on the boardwalk, and desserts.

It got so late and my friend, Vivian, thought I should stay over instead of going back into the city that late. Viv lives in New Jersey on the Hudson River. I mean she literally lives on the the bank of the river....beautiful! It was pretty neat to stare out the window all night and gaze upon the view of the Manhattan Skyline. She lives directly across from Times Square and the Empire State Building. What a view! The other rooms were taken and Viv wanted to give me her bed...I told her that I was perfectly fine on the floor. Look at this beautiful bed that she made me.....
It was very nice to eat breakfast while looking at the city. Amazing!
These pictures do not do the view justice! It was VERY overcast and that didn't help it either. Believe me....it was beautiful though. She has 5 walls that have MASSIVE windows that overlook the city and river.
Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving too! Thanks Viv!

Wonder what it would be like to have the view from your windows like Vivi has to look at everyday?? Don't think I will ever know! Ha- I agree, what a nice friend.
