Presidential Debate Memories

Tonight is the last presidential debate (held here in NY) before the November elections and I cant help but remember the last presidential debate that took place before the November 2004 elections. The debate was held in my hometown in Arizona......my alma mater was the host......Arizona State University! I had the great honor of being able to work with the secret service at the debate. I had to have a full background check and it was a pretty intense process to be accepted. My main responsibility was to review the press/media credentials as they entered the debate grounds to broadcast from the spin room. It was an AMAZING experience! I remember seeing the secret service with their dogs and machine guns roaming the grounds and based sporadically on top of the buildings around the university. They were ready to take on anyone who wanted to "make a move" towards the President. Unlike this debate between two people who just WANT to be president......the last debate had THE President and so it was very tight security....cool experience!
