Friday evening was fun! I met up with some friends in the Village and we walked and walked and walked for blocks. We entered almost EVERY shoe store on Broadway and explored the other stores in between. I had no idea that Dean and Deluca had a market. It was like Whole Foods on steroids....
We couldn't resist going to Pearl River. It was a blast going through the millions of aisles that were filled with "anything Chinese" that you could possibly think of.
I really liked all of these dishes. They have a ton of designed box sets but these were some of my favorites.
Chopsticks anyone?
I thought this teapot was adorable!
We got a few of these cute pens. They are "scratch-n-sniff" and SUPER fragrant. I got the watermelon and cupcake...fun!
We stopped for dumplings in Chinatown and they were really good. I like them better than the dumplings in my neighborhood.
Anyone know what this fruit is? It is called mangosteen and it is crazy expensive. It is supposedly the best fruit that you could ever eat. It especially helps prevent cancer and is a preferred fruit of cancer survivors. My mom is a believer and has the fruit in a liquid form every day (Xango). Anyway.....I saw it and so we bought some to try.
We ended our 5 hour stroll through the Village and Chinatown by walking through Little Italy. They had a festival and I saw these sunglasses that I thought were fantastic. I know of a few people who would benefit by looking through these shades. Anyway....that is a wrap.....a fun Friday night!
