What a blast it was to celebrate Sarah turning one year older! We met up together for a "girls night out" and it was great! We ate wonderful food, chatted up a storm, eavesdropped on other peoples conversations, laughed until we almost popped a lung, and even shed a tear or two about how great our childhood was. We have to admit....we may be old (I mean 33 now) but we still know how to have fun just like the good ole days.
We met up at a place called Otto in Greenwich Village. They had delicious food and it was quite the "NY" experience for me. There were lots of people out because it was Labor Day weekend and it added to the fun ambiance. We even ordered some of Sarah's favorite Olive Oil Gelato that is drizzled with olive oil and topped with sea salt. Delish!

We were laughing because Sarah took this picture of us. It turned out red though because her finger was over the flash. It still turned out to be a great picture!

More giggles as we tried to get a better picture. Didn't happen but we had fun trying!

The birthday girl under the arch at Washington Square Park. The park is across the street from the restaurant and so we went walking there after dinner. It was packed with music acts, as usual, and we had fun listening and getting our groove on in the park.

We especially enjoyed watching a group that had a piano player, singer, and tap dancer. The piano played the whole time and the singer and tap dancer would take turns performing. The best was when they did Lady Gaga as a whole group. Amazing and hilarious!

Happy Birthday Sarah! I am glad that I could hang out with you and have such a fun time celebrating your big day! We sure have celebrated many together. I'm sure we'll share a pudding cup to celebrate our summer birthdays in a rest home together some day too. Ha! Until then, Happy Birthday....love ya tons!
