Movie With A View....

I went to the Brooklyn Bridge Park at Pier 1 tonight. I knew that they had a summer movie series but it used to be at the other pier. This year they moved it to the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge in the new park area. The view is still just as amazing! There were TONS of people and the grass lawn had no empty space, literally. It was a fun night to attend for a couple of reasons. 1) It was the last movie showing for this summer 2) The movie was an old Marilyn Monroe movie, Some Like It Hot.

It was an especially hot day here today. The breeze tonight, although warm, was refreshing and nice. I had fun "people watching" and checking out the views. It really is hard to imagine that there are many places in the world that are neater than NYC when you gaze over the East River at such a beautiful view. I sat and stared at the lights as they twinkled for a long time. My camera just couldn't capture the beauty that I saw....I don't have the right flash. I guess it is just one of those things that you have to experience in person. I heart NYC!

I bet that was really fun. I know what you mean about photo's not really capturing the full beauty of some absolutely breath taking landscape or any beautiful scene.....like NYC river's & bridges at night. Oh, the plate of food on the post below made your Dad and my mouth water! Ha
