Funky Flowers....

When Beak came to NYC to visit me in April....she taught me something fun. She showed me how to make flowers out of tape. It is the EASIEST and QUICKEST thing to do but the results are pretty impressive. She uses duct tape (all different colors and prints from Walmart) but I used regular old masking tape the other day at school. I was teaching a lesson on re-purposing items and I got an idea. I remembered the flowers and so I quickly found a roll of tape and showed the kids how to make flowers.

It was difficult for most of the kids but one girl REALLY caught on. She became addicted and wanted to make dozens of flowers. I ended up letting her take the roll of tape home to practice over the weekend. She did a pretty good job!
