The closest thing to a "diner" that I had ever been to before coming to NY was Denny's and IHOP. Well, I have learned that diners on the east coast are in a "league of their own."There was a time (a couple of years ago) that I went to the diners A LOT. It just seems like the place "to be" when it is cold outside on late nights after going out, etc. Well....little did I know...that the COOLEST diner was JUST a mile away from me.
I have passed this place a MILLION times and never went in. Well, I did a couple of weeks ago and I now LOVE it! Isn't it adorable? It is called Jackson Hole and it is located in Bayside, NY.
The food is delicious and the ambiance is adorable. The place opened up in the 70's and the decor is so fun! It doesn't have a "commercial" or "restaurant chain" feel....it is original and unique......the real deal! I love it!
You can come sit at the bar for breakfast or shakes and pie, etc.
This juice machine is the coolest! The oranges roll down the rack and get squashed and then juice goes directly into the pitcher that they bring to your table. I asked them if the machine mixes in water and sugar....NOPE! Just pure juice.....pretty cool!
