Today is a special day for my family.....my mom is having surgery because she was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I haven't blogged about this yet because I have been feeling VERY raw lately. My world literally crashed a couple of weeks ago when I called home and I received the scary news. I feel so bad for my mom and now I understand how hard it is to find out that someone in your own family has been diagnosed with such a horrible thing....cancer! I could ramble on about all of this for days....but the point of my post is that I LOVE MY MOM and I am thinking of her today. She is an amazing person and has a huge heart....she really cares about her family and is extremely proud of all of us. She has a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that her faith is strong. I can't wait for her to overcome this obstacle so that she can fulfill her current goal of serving a full-time mission with my Dad for our church. I feel so lucky to have been selected out of all of the women in the world to have been sent to her and to be able to call her "Mom."

stay strong....good thoughts you and your moms way!
I saw your mom on Thursday. She looked like she was doing great, like she hadn't even had a major surgery. Our prayers go out to your mom and your family.
Wow, you and your mom are so lucky to have each other, especially at times like this. Hang in there and know that prayers are being said and positive thoughts are being sent your family's way.
