Have you Upcycled today?

Check out this bag....it looks like it was knitted with yarn, doesn't it? Well, it actually is made from strips of plastic grocery bags. There is a woman named Kristin Jordan who lives here NYC and she is lawyer who has taken on a worthwhile project to fill up her "spare" time. She knits in the subway and even while she is walking the city streets.....she is always knitting. She says that she is committed to upcycling, or using waste materials (like plastic bags) to provide useful products. I think that it is a pretty good idea and the bags are supposedly SUPER durable and strong. You can check out her website here.
