The Pope has arrived!

The Pope has arrived! I am not sure what all of you on the West coast are seeing on TV about the Pope visiting the United States....but we are hearing about it NONSTOP here on the East Coast. He started out his visit in Washington DC and will be here in NYC on Friday morning. We have been hearing about it (commercials, local news, etc) for months now. I have debated on sharing my feelings about the media coverage on this "royal visit" but have chosen not to in an attempt to not have my opinions misunderstood. With that said.....I have to comment on his shoes. I watched the LIVE coverage of him walking off of the plane the other day at Andrews Air Force Base and about swallowed my tongue when I saw his shoes. It shocked me because he was dressed in such pristine white and then all of a sudden I saw the BOLD shoes. I didn't think much more about it.....I just thought it was his style....but then I saw all of the women on The View talking about it today and they all wore red shoes. It prompted me to look up "the red shoes" online and I found a TON of pictures and articles about his shoes. I guess other people have been noticing it for a long time and many people say that it is a fact that the shoes are Prada....ha. I am sure that is just gossip but I did read-on and found out that the red shoes signify royalty and/or kingship and that it dates back to the Roman Emperors. Very interesting!
