Sedona.....red dirt country

My mom, Alice, and I went on an adventure on Wednesday.......we went to Sedona. It was a really fun day and the sights were amazing as always! We drove over Mingus Mountain, through Jerome and Cottonwood, and then into Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon. The colors were so vibrant and we were surrounded by the rich red dirt and clay that Sedona is so famous for. Here are a few pics from our adventure.

I think when you live so close to a place like that, you go there so often and forget to look up as you are there. I've got to get back there and explore all of the great places I've forgotten about. I think the Tlaquepaque is great all dressed up for Christmas. We do that every year after Thanksgiving dinner if we are in Camp Verde at my parents. You should plan it in December. It's beautiful.

Ya... I know...I used to get so bored with the AZ scenery and would even say that it should just dry up (even more than it is) and blow away. It wasnt until I had a few years in NYC that I started to appreciate the desert more. I come home now and see it all in a while new light...it is gorgeous!
