I got a surprise email from the Rachael Ray Show....tickets! I had been there a few years ago and saw Jewel (very cool) and Kathy Lee Gifford (not so cool). I had a blast there and got a bunch of fun "gifts." Well, I got this email offering me tickets a few days ago...surprise! I went this morning and, AGAIN, had a wonderful time.
I was lucky....I got there a little late (dumb train) and I was afraid that I wouldn't get in. Everything worked out JUST FINE and I even got to sit in the 3rd row.
These are the only pictures that I took because, understandably, no cameras are allowed in the studio. One of the producers took a picture of the audience to put on Facebook though. Too bad it turned out BLURRY....ugh! Can you see me? I am in the sea foam green sweater below the yellow arrow. Yup...that's me!
Oh...and here is the "Snack of the Day." Yum-O!After the show....I walked around Grand Central and then strolled back to Penn Station so I could catch my train.
I snapped a picture of the Chrysler Building (not to be confused with the Empire State Building).
Noticed that one of my FAVORITE burger joints just opened up a new (too convenient) location....I decided to pass it up this time.
Walked through Bryant Park and looked at the tents that are set up for Fashion Week.
Got too close to Crumbs Bake Shop and happened to buy a couple to share with one of my students (her birthday is today) back in Queens....
Walked through Times Square since I hadn't strolled through there yet in 2010.
Stopped at Sephora to redeem a gift card that a friend gave me....Thanks Morin! :)
Decided to break my unintentional daylong "fast" by grabbing a pretzel.....
I never eat things from the street carts but I shared a pretzel with my mom when she was here in November and it was tasty. I wanted to 1) kill the hunger circus in my stomach and 2) try and "re-live" the pretzel moment with my mom. Awe....so sweet!
What is that needle poking up in the distance? Hmm....that would be the top of the Empire State Building.... I am tired now...going home to kick off my shoes and relax!
