Cook Night...

I got a little "backed up" with my teaching schedule on Friday night. One mom wanted me to stay and cook with her after I finished teaching her daughter. The problem was that I still had 2 more appointments. The next thing I knew....she was on the phone telling the other mom to come over to cook and bring her kids so I could tutor them their at her house. It turned into a teaching, cooking, eating, playing night. Fun! I LOVE this little girl! She and I have worked together for 2 years now. I teach her 5 times a week and so we have become very close. We went to the store with her mom to buy our ingredients. What a cutie!

Lots of onion, peppers, garlic, and ginger....
Starting the noodle soup....
Korean flour noodles....
I have no idea what were laughing about. Pretty cute though!
Here is her mom busy at work in the kitchen. I love that she is wearing one of the aprons that I made. I always see it hanging in the kitchen but I wasn't sure that she really used it. Cute!
The kids had enough of watching us cook. They took off for the bedroom to play Monopoly. The two kids on the left are brother and sister. They have only lived in the U.S. since April. I have tutored them since their arrival. They have made lots of progress and I am super proud of them.
