Sleepy Hollow, NY

There is no better time to visit the place where the "Headless Horseman" roamed than during October. So, I escaped to Sleepy Hollow, NY. It was fun to explore this cute town and see all of the Halloween decorations that they had displayed around town. It definitely put me in a "Boo-ish" mood!I loved how almost the entire town had scarecrow people stuck to the fences.....Of course, you cant go to Sleepy Hollow and not see the famous cemetery. It was neat to be able to drive all through it. There are so many hills, canyons, and even a stream. What a peaceful but "freaky" setting this time of year. They offer photography tours there as well as a visit at night where the Headless Horseman appears in the cemetery. It sounded pretty cool but I honestly think I would be too freaked out....imagine that! Ha!

I thought it was kind of "spooky" that these black birds, hundreds of them, were swarming around this particular area. Maybe it was some type of seed that they wanted? Maybe it was something else? Bruuuuhaaaa! Ha!
