I got up early today and headed to the beach. I wanted to beat the traffic and also get a semi decent parking space. Everything worked in my favor because I got a perfect parking spot and the best place on the beach. The waves were perfect and I was able to swim out in the big waves for a few hours. It was amazing.....a true summer beach day with perfect weather!! 
Here's to more beach days in the VERY near future!!

Oh my holy hell, I used to live in Far Rockaway!! That's my old stomping ground! Except you probably went to a better part of Far Rockaway than I lived in because I remember tons of jelly fish and having to watch out for hypodermic needles in the sand. Did you really travel all the way to Queens for the beach?! That's like over an hour on the A train! More power to you, girlfriend. There's few things I wouldn't do for some sun and sand! L, N
Hey Leo...actually, it was probably the same part of the beach. It is MUCH cleaner than it used to be. I have been SOOOO impressed with Rockaway beach this year. I was there again on Saturday. The waves are amazing and the water is SUPER compared to good ole' Coney Island. I live in Queens so it is the closest beach to my house. I used to go to Coney or Jones Beach (Long Island) but I think that Rockaway is my favorite now. You have GOT to come out here and hang with me. We can visit your old "stomping grounds." Ha!
