V-day Update

Jose and I had a fun Valentine's Day. We had a nice breakfast together and ate heart shaped pancakes (not so golden...more like DARK) and then headed off to a movie. We saw Step Up 2 since we had already seen the first one a year or two ago. Then we walked from 34th Street to Olive Garden in Times Square for a late lunch. We both had some yummy "new menu" items and really enjoyed the usual breadsticks, salad, and soup. My plate of garlic chicken, sun dried tomatoes, and alfredo was divine! We got a really nice seat and were able to look out over the city. For those of you who havent been here....our Olive Garden is in one of the two "island towers" that divides Times Square. That means that it is basically in the HEART of the action smack dab in the middle of Times Square. It is also 3-4 floors and the the dining area has seating along the windows so that you can see the hustle and bustle of the city. We ate at one of those windows for my b-day a couple of years ago and then we were able to sit there again for Valentine's Day. Anyway... it was fun and we stopped in at the "Garden of Love" which was a promotional area that Nivea lotions had set up in Times Square. They were giving away lotions and roses to all of the women who stopped by. They had flowers everywhere and you could actually sit down in the big garden that they had created and take pictures in the flowers, etc. Interesting! We commuted back to Queens, watched movies, made chocolate covered pretzels, and snacked on my left over Olive Garden food. It was a fun night.
