The Queens Zoo....

I met up with Sarah and Max for a fun day at Flushing Meadows but we were sadly disappointed to find out that the Unisphere had its fountain turned off. Ugh! What we didn't know was that we were going to have a spectacular time in the park...just not what we had originally planned. I knew that the park had a zoo....I just thought it was a cruddy zoo. Well, I was SUPER wrong! We found a carousel and almost got thrown off because it was spinning so fast. I grabbed onto a horse tail with one hand and an ear with the other in an attempt to stay on the thing. Then we entered the zoo and had a wonderful time. I was AMAZED at the beautiful landscape. I would have NEVER believed you if you had shown me pictures of this zoo and told me that it was in my backyard. Guess what...it is true! It is great and it is close to me...RIGHT in NYC.
