Just a random trip to Atlantic City.....I didn't have much going on yesterday so I pulled myself away from the computer and decided to drive to NJ for a fun beach day.
The West has Las Vegas and the East has Atlantic City. I had been there a few times before but had never gone swimming at the beach....so I thought I would give it a try.
The water felt great and the sun was strong....it showed up kind of muted in this picture though because the humidity was high and so it looks "steamy."
This is my "sesta" (that is what it is called in Spanish) that I bought on my last trip to El Salvador. If you see a woman carrying one of these in Central America than you know she is going to the market to get food for that day. Well, I use it for the beach because it is SUPER sturdy (made out of braided plastic) and all I have to do is shake it and all of the sand falls out easily.
Part of the boardwalk....the only thing that is cool about this place is that the Casino's are along a huge boardwalk....then there is a ton of sand and then the amazing ocean. It has a super beachy feel to it.....salt water taffy, etc. Other than that.....Las Vegas is much more impressive as far as "casino cities" go. I think that they are both places just to visit for a couple of hours to people-watch and then leave......they kind of seem junky to me.
View from the Pier Mall.....pretty cool place. There is a huge pier out in the water and it is a 3-floor shopping mall with all of the finest stores.
Just another shot of the boardwalk...by-the-way...if you want to get really good legs....I found the perfect job for you. They have boardwalk taxi's to take all of the geezer's that don't want to walk around to the next casino. You just sit in this cart thing and they push you there....they walk SOOOOOOO fast....it is like extreme speed walking. Pretty cool!
Just some kids trying to make a buck by performing on the boardwalk. Just grab some buckets, a empty keg barrel, and some sticks...your all set!

You are so adventurous!
That bag is sooooo cute... I love the colors on it. I am glad you had a great time at the beach. I love the beach. We are lucky to live close to one.
Thanks Cameila...I thought it was kind of cute but I never imagined that it would be so handy when I bought it. I use it all of the time. Yup... it is nice living near the beach. I think this summer I have gone to the beach more than I ever have before...
Atlantic City is on my list of things to see when I visit you someday!
