Have you all seen the infomercial for "Pancake Puffs?" They are amazing! My brother saw the kit at Target and so he got it for my sister-in-law for Mother's Day. My nephew "E" and I got up early the other day and made breakfast for everyone. It was fun to listen to him repeat the infomercial over and over and word for word as he cooked....he has obviously seen the infomercial WAY too many times! You can click HERE to check it out for yourself.

These were SUPER tasty! We used my sister-in-laws recipe for the pancake batter and we also made buttermilk syrup. Yum! Here is the batter recipe but I'll have to post the syrup recipe later because I need to get it from her.
Buttermilk Wheat Pancakes
3 C. Wheat flour
1 ½ tsp. Salt
1 ½ tsp. Baking soda
1 ½ tsp. Baking powder
6 Eggs
2 ½ C. Buttermilk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 ½ cubes Butter
Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Soften/melt the butter and mix with the eggs, vanilla, and buttermilk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and get ready to pour, cook, and enjoy! (The recipe calls for white flour but we changed it to wheat flour).

I have seen this and wanted to try them. They look so yummy! Every time I see something like this I think of Asian food and filling them with squid--I'm sure you've had them that way. I just might have to get this and try it out...
come on over... we will make them asap. how about in the middle of the night-early morning... say after we set of some firecrackers in my back yard again.. right by the propane tank?!!;)

Is this like abelskever? They look really yummy right now!
Exactly... I think that the pan is like the Abelskever pan. I have never had those before but I have heard of them. Michelle Collett makes them often. These puffs were great though...I dont know if it was because of the recipe or because of their little shape....but they were GOOD!
