Coney Island Adventure: Part 1

My friend Alice and I get together quite often and we always have a really fun time together....shopping, chatting, etc. We decided to do something different on Friday night and so we went to Brooklyn to see what crazy things we could find to do. On the way....we saw the new waterfalls that have been put up around the city as an "artistic demo" until October. It was cool to look over the East River and see one with the Statue of Liberty right behind it. Anyway...our first stop was to my favorite pizza place in NY....Difaro's. It is a one man show and it has always been that way....he moves like a turtle and it is worth every minute that you have to wait. He uses fresh mozzarella and parmesan cheese (grates it fresh for each pizza) and then drizzles olive oil over every pie. The final touch is my favorite....he cuts up fresh oregano and basil on top just before he closes the box. YUM!

You are sooooo funny! You are right....I think people think his pizza shop should be made a historical site. It was pretty dang good but it takes forever....

SL- That is a pic of our picture on the post....just a cheese pie. It was super yummy! You know how awesome it is though....you are lucky...it is just a couple of blocks from you. I showed Alice the big "mansion" where I lived when I served there...oh and I showed her the LDS church next door too. Pretty cool! We should meet up for fireworks if there is time before we both go to AZ.

Ok. I watched this being 9 months pregnant and hungry. There is nothing in the world that I want right now than a big slice of that pizza. He is amazing. When we went to NY with my hubby two years ago, the pizza from Little Italy did not taste as good as this one was to watch....
I am so jelouse that you live in NY. How fun. Do you still teach seminary?
